Working on eCommerce website

It was first time for me working on eCommerce website, was a very good experience for me.

For every e-commerce website, the most important part is the products on their website and I was working on that important part i.e. PRODUCTS.

While framing the products to be sold on one of our clients ecommerce website, we kept a thing in our mind that was – customers’ perception about products.

So while framing the product we wanted to be sure about the Product Image, Product description, Products price and many other things. While framing images for product we were to take care of image quality, image size and latest product image. To know more about the product, the customer is merely dependent on the product’s description; by keeping this thing in our mind we framed the description short but in a more informative way.

After collecting the data, our task was to put the data in CSV file; while building a working CSV file we came across many problems like understanding the attributes of CSV file, understanding the values for those attributes etc. For getting an error free CSV file, we tested the CSV file on trail store for any minor changes and then final CSV file is generated.

Our next motive was to keep the website managed; to achieve that we managed all products directory wise, so later on client side people can handle the data without any query. We worked on trial store so that client can have better quality check on cooked products without having any impact on live website and business.

I learned many new things about e-commerce from this project, which can be used elsewhere in future projects.
